Simon Griffett, Duncan Crimmins and Murray Harris formed Audio Related Technology Ltd in March 2000.
Simon Griffett began his career in the mid eighties after three years study in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Middlesex Polytechnic. He Started at Haydn labs repairing Denon, Nagra’s and Sennheiser Radio mics before moving on to help establish the Tascam UK sales & service office in Watford. Simon went on to spend a further 11 years at Sony’s London field service centre in the West End of London. Providing technical support to the Music recording, broadcast and post production industries.
Duncan Crimmins started work in 1983 as a research laboratory technician for B&W Loudspeakers. When B&W joined forces with the Nakamichi Corporation of Japan to distribute each other’s products. He changed roles and became the service manager of Nakamichi / B&W UK Ltd. In 1991 Duncan began work as a freelance Electronics / Service engineer to the professional audio post production industry in West London. In 1993 he took a full time placement with Chop-em-Out. A very successful CD mastering & post production facility, now bought and absorbed by The Sanctuary Group.
Our primary objective is to provide superior quality engineering services to the Professional Audio and Broadcast Video industry.
We also recognise there are many talented and enthusiastic recording amatures and musicians who from time to time need advice. And access to a professional service at a cost that recognises their budgetary constraints. This is why we have introduced the ‘Pro-Sumer’ hourly rate.

We are approved service agents for Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Yamaha, Allen & Heath, Tascam, Tapco, EAW, Mackie, Crate and Ampeg. All other manufacturers are supported.
We are business and technology partners with Microsoft, Intel and many other major computer component manufacturers.
In 2002 we started to build and supply state-of-the-art pc’s to run Merging Technologies Pyramix Audio Workstation for the UK dealership.
By 2004, due to the success of our approach to streamlining this process, Merging Technologies asked us to become their system construction partner. As a result we have built and ship the Pyramix and V-Cube professional Video HD systems worldwide.
