If you get the follwoing message on boot:
No input going to sleep,
There is a very high chance your mother board has failed and needs to be replaced. You can confirm this by making a visual inspection of the mother board. use the picture below to giude you in what you are looking for. The new mother board is much more reliable and you should not get a repeat of this problem.

If you have swollen capacitors then you need to do the following:
  • Contact us quoting the full serial number of the DXB. We will also need your Company details if relevant, delivery address and contact details.

We will arrange for a replacement Mother Board to be issued. You now have to make a choice from the following options:

  1. We will send the new mother board to you so you can fit it yourself. You can download the installation instruction from the download page on this website. Please be aware if you make a mistake whilst fitting and cause further damage any resultant repair will be chargable. If you feel you have the skills then have a go. If you are succesful it will cost you nothing. However if you are slightly hesitant we strongly recommend option 2 or 3.
  2. If you get your DXB to our workshop we will fit the new mother board free of charge. In most cases we will be able to complete the work on the day, saving you the cost and hassle of a return trip. We can arrange to have the DXB collected and delivered at your cost. However this can be expensive depending on where you are in the country. If you think it is worth considering contact us and we will be happy to quote.
  3. We will send an engineer to your premises and complete the work on site with a minimum of disruption to you. The mother board is still supplied free of charge but the fitting and travel cost will be chargeable. Contact us for a quote.
'When I turn the console on nothing happens'
This can be caused by many issues here are some of the usual ones.
  • CPU fan is stuck and will not turn.
  • Back up battery on the mother board has run low and needs replacing. In this case theBIOS will need resetting correctly. Contact us.
  • One of the PCI cards has failed. Contact us.
'The console boots ok, but I get a constant bleep coming from inside'
  • This is a mother board alarm sounding. There are many differnt alarms most of which are never disclosed by the mother board manufacturer. However if you get a constant bleep, bleep it'slikelythe CPU tempreture isbelow the warning threshold when you booted. confrimation of this diagnosis, is after re-boot the beeping stops. It can be chaged within bios but only by disabling the over temp warning which we do not recommend. If the console is cold on the morning let it reach room temp. before you boot up.
' half way through booting I get the blue screen of death'
  • Again many reason's this can happen most of which are not nice. But before you panic check that both screen connectors are fully plugged into the graphics card. As shown in the picture. If they are securely connected contact us, you may have a failed HD. For this reason please remember to back up your projects, at least to a USB drive. However in some cases weare able toretrieve your data so conatct us.
